Supplemental Hospital Compliance Guidance Draft

The OIG has posted their draft of new hospital compliance recommendations in the June 8, 2004 Federal Register.

The draft includes:

• an expanded discussion of risk areas,
• recent changes to hospital payment systems and regulations,
• evolving industry practices,
• current enforcement priorities, and
• lessons learned in the area of corporate compliance.

The OIG will accept comments through July 23, 2004.
