WebMD Corporation Changes Name

WebMD Corporation is changing their name to Emdeon Corporation on September 29, 2005 though they began using the new name on August 5. The company states it is changing their corporate name to avoid confusion with their WebMD Health subsidiary. WebMD Health is expected to trade separately on the NASDAQ after its planned initial public offering, according to an Emdeon news release.
