Catch the Xpress

Use Xpeditor's XpressBiller to reduce your workload!

With Xpeditor Release 2.82 we have implemented a new module that can significantly reduce your workload. This module is called XpressBiller and can be easily used to make Xpeditor automatically complete many of the repetitive tasks that you have had to do manually in the past.

XpressBiller has an easy-to-use graphical interface that uses a wizard to walk you through the process of creating customized rules, custom conversions or custom errors. You do not need to be a programmer. You just need to recognize situations where a little customization can make your job much more streamlined. Good examples include: correcting the relationship field to "self" if the patient and insured names match, and raising a custom error if the address on a miscellaneous claim is missing. You can "program" XpressBiller to inspect claims for particular errors or values in fields and then react accordingly. Some examples include: changing the value in a field, raising your own error message, and changing the status of a claim to route it to the appropriate staff for correction.

There are four different types of rules that you can create:

• XpressBiller AutoCorrect Rules
• XpressBiller Convert Rules
• XpressBiller Edit Rules
• XpressBiller Medical Necessity Rules

The AutoCorrect and Convert rules run during the Batch Processing. The Edit and Medical Necessity rules run whenever the edits are executed.

As is the case with any activity in Xpeditor, the XpressBiller provides complete tracking records that allow you to review or audit actions initiated by your new business rules.
