Partners' Dinner

By: Cyndi Palmer, Communications Manager

Quadax held its fourth annual Partners' Dinner Wednesday, January 14th to reflect on the year gone by and look forward to the challenges and opportunities to come in 2004.

The Partner program at Quadax affords key individuals the opportunity to benefit from our corporate success. Achieving Partner status are those employees who, through years of service, have demonstrated dedication to the company, have made significant contributions toward the fulfillment of corporate objectives, and function in a capacity that enables them to have a direct impact on corporate profitability.

John Leskiw (CEO, A/R Services) addressed the gathering with a discussion of qualifications for the Partner program, performance this year relative to past years, and the responsibility of Partners for continued corporate success. "2003 was an amazing year as we were able to begin to recognize some of the recent gains that we've made in both the EDI and A/R Services areas. In addition, products and services recently developed by the Business Services Division are beginning to contribute to corporate profitability."

Mr. Leskiw went on to present commendations for the extraordinary contributions of five individual partners in 2003: Hank Termeer, Chuck Parker, Susan Langsdale, Mary Jo Leskiw, and Phil Conard.

Tom Kish (CEO, EDI Services) was upbeat in his remarks to the group as he outlined accomplishments in 2003 and expectations for 2004. "In 2004 we will take advantage of many current business opportunities, and we will continue to develop the company and our products to do even better in the future. We must always think ahead and be creative. We possess a tremendous systems and programming resource that enables us to react quickly and effectively to customer needs and business opportunities."

Mr. Kish went on to acknowledge that the attributes the Partners represent, including intelligence, dependability, responsibility, loyalty and honesty, are the same attributes that define Quadax. His encouragement to everyone was to keep customer satisfaction foremost; always look for ways to improve service and eliminate waste; and foster an atmosphere of teamwork.

Ms. Lawler's Quadax awardsThis year's event was also an appropriate occasion to honor Patricia Lawler (Vice President, Data Entry Services) for her 30 years of distinguished service.

When Pat began working for Quadax in 1973, the company had only a small number of employees, but a large vision. The goal of offering the next generation of quality and innovation in data entry was quickly fulfilled as, among other things, Pat helped to develop edits to improve the accuracy of claims submitted to Ohio Medicaid.

Data Entry at Quadax has come a long way in 30 years under Pat's leadership. Keypunch operators working from handwritten, paper claim forms is a thing of the past, but Pat's staff of high-speed data entry clerks is still in demand, now frequently keying from images or indexing documents in an OnBase system.

Long-term, with the prevalence of electronic data transfer and the mandates of HIPAA, Pat sees a diminished market for data entry services. However, she is gratified that as the backbone of Quadax services, the success of our Data Entry division has enabled Quadax to expand into other areas of service, researching and developing innovative ways to meet the unique needs of healthcare providers.

The greatest satisfaction for Pat, looking back over 30 years, is "seeing the growth of the company... from what we were able to do at first, starting out as entrepreneurs, not knowing what would happen the next day... to now seeing Quadax as an industry leader."
