New Faces
By
Cyndi Palmer , Communications Manager
In Tony Petras's EDI Services State of the Department presentation, he noted that EDI Services is now comprised of 37 individuals, 3 more than in 2003, supported by 11 members of the Quadax Systems staff. That our staff did not grow by greater numbers belies the magnitude of the successes seen by Quadax EDI Services in 2004; it is a testament to the dedication and efficiency of our entire organization that nearly 200 new Xpeditor installations were performed, more than 21 million transactions processed, new transaction types were developed, significant product enhancements were implemented, and innovative new strategies for managing support events and communications were initiated.
A big change to our staffing and organization in 2004 came by way of the development of the Xpeditor Implementation Team, or XIT.
The XIT mobilizes to manage all facets of new implementations of Xpeditor Enterprise at hospitals and other large facilities. With the advent of the XIT, Quadax has achieved a new level of efficiency and professionalism when implementing the Enterprise version of Xpeditor. And, we are now able to avoid the drain on resources that previously threatened existing accounts while service personnel rallied to accomplish consultation, installation, and training at a new account. Mike Daugstrup joined EDI Services to serve as the XIT Project Leader, directing and coordinating the overall project with hospital staff as well as Quadax staff. Nick Halpin, recently serving as EDI Technical Service Manager, now functions as the XIT Technical Leader, facilitating all of the technical details associated with an Xpeditor installation. Alison Hollo, new to Quadax but with years of experience in the industry, serves as XIT Workflow Leader. Alison's background at a TPA, including supervising claims and implementing EDI connectivity, gives her good insights as she works with clients to customize Xpeditor's processing to the specific needs of every new client and then train staff on the use of the system to their best advantage.
Quadax EDI Services is committed to providing excellent customer support to our clients; it's a characteristic that sets us apart from our competition and has won the trust of many longtime Quadax customers. The creation of the XIT was an important step in improving our support structure; another was bringing two new Account Representatives to our Service department: Candy Garris in the West Virginia region, and Linda Lewis in the southwest Ohio region.
Linda Lewis has over 16 years of experience as Director of Registration and Business Office Manager for Hospitals and Long Term Care facilities in the Greater Cincinnati/South Eastern Indiana Tri State Area.
Candy Garris is quick to tell you that she believes so strongly in our products and services because she used Xpeditor in her previous position, performing billing duties for a West Virginia organization. Because of this experience, she enjoys relating to the client base she now serves as a support representative.
Finally, the newest member of our EDI Services staff is Joe Schulman, whom we are very excited to welcome to our executive sales staff. Joe has had extensive experience in the Ohio hospital market where he has sold EDI services for the past twelve years. He is highly regarded by his peers in the industry and recognized as an individual with a deep care and concern for servicing the business he sells. We believe Joe brings the kind of character that we cherish here at Quadax.
As Tony indicated in his closing remarks at the EDI State of the Department presentation, we are well aware that "While our product's superiority provides an information management tool that is unparalleled, it is the people who make up our team that separates us from our competition." With that in mind we are pleased to welcome each of these new faces to the Quadax EDI team, confident that their contributions will mean greater satisfaction and success for our EDI clients.
