Transitioning HARP 1500 Claims to Xpeditor Editing
Quadax has been working diligently over the past several months to prepare all electronic 1500 claims for HARP clients to be sent through Xpeditor. As you may know, this is part of our ongoing project to consolidate all claims through one editing process. All UB claims have been successfully transitioned over the past several years without any problems, and we expect this transition to go smoothly as well.
With this transition, you can expect the following changes:
- Longer error codes. Error codes previously consisted of only two characters. They have now been expanded to six characters. Because of this change, several new error codes can be added.
- More detailed error messages. As a result of the six-character error codes, both the error codes and messages can be more specific and detailed. Another advantage of claims going through Xpeditor is that you can tell which errors are forcible and which aren’t, with non-forcible errors being denoted by an “NF” in the error message.
- Error code links on the Inquiry page. In HARP 3.0, error message codes on the Inquiry page will link directly to a description of the claim error in the Quadax Knowledge Base. This allows you to view the error in more detail, including the status and revision history.
Despite these changes, the majority of your claim processing functionality will stay the same. Claim Error work lists will remain unchanged, and you can still expect to have your claims processed in the same timely manner as before.
The conversion has already begun, and 27 Manager clients have already made the switch. Because the bulk of the changes are behind-the-scenes, the best way to tell if your account has been transitioned is by looking at the way your error codes are displayed: if you see six characters, you’ve been transitioned. Our current target dates have all Manager accounts making the conversion by late fall, and all HARP clients by the end of the year.
