Make the CRS Work For You

By: Mercedes Murray, Technical Communication Specialist

Author's pictureQuadax has been busy adding enhancements to the HARP 3.0 Charge Repository System to make charge processing more customizable and easier than ever. The Charge Repository System, or CRS, is a holding area for charge transactions that fail interface edits; incomplete or incorrect data can be modified in the CRS before being loaded into the HARP database and beginning the automatic billing process. All charges in the CRS are initially given a Pending status, and up until now, each had to be individually released into HARP.

Multiple charges can now be selected and released into HARP 3.0 at once. A list of charges can be generated by searching the CRS by criteria such as by status or pending reason, and then you can selectively choose ones to release from the list, or use the Select All option to select the entire list. The mass release option will save a significant amount of time for HARP users.

Customization options have always been available for the CRS Records page, but now you can select the fields on the Lookup and Search Results pages from options in the Related Tasks menu.  By including only the fields relevant to your practice, it will be easier to find matching charges. Assistant, Department, Specialty, and Institution have also been added as optional fields on the Lookup and Search Results page.

The CRS Settings allow you to chose hot keys for navigation, alter how diagnosis codes are viewed, and select the displayed fields. Navigation hot keys allow you to navigate through the page by using keys on the keyboard instead of the mouse. For example, you can easily move through charge records by using the left and right bracket keys. To move to a previous record, use the left bracket key ([), and to move forward, use the right bracket key (]). Enabling the hot keys will not disable the mouse.

You can also choose to see diagnosis codes listed vertically or horizontally on the CRS Record page. Listing the diagnosis codes horizontally may reduce your need to scroll down when updating CRS records because the page will occupy less vertical space.

For more information about these updates and more, see the HARP 3.0 online manual and release notes, available from the Help link in HARP.
