Peanut Butter & Chocolate … Xpeditor & Axis!

By: Len Stusek, Sr. Manager, EDI Services

Author's pictureSome things are good individually, like peanut butter or chocolate, but mixed together, they’re even better! So why are you using Xpeditor without Axis as your audit tracking tool? Inconceivable!

OK, so maybe you see this as an exaggeration. We don’t. Axis was designed to work hand in hand with Xpeditor to give you resources you can’t get anywhere else. Quadax has married the outgoing data from Xpeditor (837s) and the incoming data (835s) into Axis, a unique partnership that eliminates data entry and fast-tracks the workflow and decision processes for RAC or other audit responses and reports. Axis is AHA RACTrac compatible, making it easy to collect and report the quarterly RAC activity/survey data to the AHA. Axis is also one of an exclusive group of EHR, The Physician Advisor Company™, integrated applications, meaning that the audit tracking and workflow functions in Axis are integrated with EHR’s technology and reporting. This enables Xpeditor/Axis users to exchange data and status updates easily and seamlessly. In a similar fashion, Axis is directly linked to Human Arc®, our workflow partner, allowing you to outsource denials and appeals on a case-by-case basis.

So, rather than just getting a simple combination of two ingredients to make something special, we have given you a true “Prego” of tools and resources in Axis. Often we refer to Axis as “built your way” because so much of the application is user configurable. Perhaps a mantra of “It’s in there!” is a lazy way to chronicle the multitude of features, benefits, and partnerships that make up Axis.

A year ago, we were imagining where we could take the development of Xpeditor and Axis. One of those ideas or “what ifs” was: “What if we could take the RAC-related messaging from the remittance (835) and automatically create and workflow an audit case in Axis days before our clients receive a demand letter or records request?” Would Xpeditor/Axis clients benefit from getting a head start on identifying and responding to audits sooner than other individual RAC tracking solutions? I’ll bet you a Reese’s Cup they will!

We will continue to think “what ifs” and create synergies that produce real value for our clients. To paraphrase Forrest Gump: Xpeditor and Axis… like peas and carrots.
