Quadax Is Adapting to Meet Your Needs

By: John Leskiw, Chief Executive Officer, A/R Services

Author's pictureFrom time to time certain challenges, when successfully met, result in business opportunities. Such was the case in 2004 when Quadax offered our client, Genomic Health, assistance with their efforts to solidify a reimbursement strategy by developing new software functionality, and then staffing certain aspects of the process. These activities, while related to traditional revenue cycle management, were not the kinds of activities that are typically considered to be traditional Billing Company activities for diagnostic laboratories.

Six years later, this emerging service offering of Quadax has blossomed. Quadax now supports 12 clients in various emerging diagnostic clinical areas and employs over 115 people to support this growing business line.

So significant was the growth that Quadax has decided to create a new business unit in our A/R Services Division to focus on the special needs of this clinical community, which tend to be emerging medical technologies in both diagnostic and therapeutic medicine.

To accomplish this, I am pleased to announce that Mike Leszcz has been named Vice President and will provide executive leadership to our Reimbursement Support Business Unit. Working with Mike will be Mary Jo Leskiw, VP, who will manage the operational production activities in this unit, and Tom Cronin, Senior Manager, who will manage our client relationships.

On the traditional revenue cycle management front, I am also pleased to announce that Chuck Foreman has been named Vice President and will provide executive management of our Managed Accounts Receivable Business Unit. Working with Chuck will be Sue Young, VP, who will manage the operational production activities in the Managed A/R Unit, and Mike Kovacs, Senior Manager, who will manage our client relationships.

Several other noteworthy changes are also happening concurrent with these recent moves.

Phil Conard, Vice President, has been asked to provide overall executive management of the technical side of our A/R Services Division, including HARP, PAS, and OnBase. Working with Phil will be Mark Gerbershagen, promoted to Senior Systems Manager with specific responsibility for our HARP product; Jason Crane, promoted to Senior Systems Manager with specific responsibility for electronic data interchange between Quadax and client applications; Mark Sprowls, VP, who is responsible for our PAS product line; Alana Papp, Systems Manager, who is in charge of our OnBase product offering; and Kathy Novak, VP, who will assume responsibility for technical support for all of these applications offered through the A/R Services Division.

Lynda Cooperrider, our Director of Human Resources, has been asked to add employee training to her responsibility list. Lynda will be working with many of our existing training staff personnel to consolidate our existing training functions into a comprehensive training organization.

Gene Calai, Vice President and Security Officer, has been asked to focus on new product research and development in addition to his responsibilities in managing the extensive Quadax network and data processing operations environment. Working with Gene will be Pat Duffy, recently promoted to Senior Systems Manager with specific responsibility for the Quadax network and for computer operations; and Eric Wahter, Systems Manager, with responsibility for network security.

We are thrilled with the opportunity to have such a group of fine, dedicated professionals from which to develop leadership as we continue to seek new ways in which to service our client community.
