Quadax Recognized as Fit-Friendly Company

By: Candace Wintering, Manager, Technical Communication

Author's pictureQuadax recently gained national recognition from the American Heart Association for our Employee Wellness Program. The Start! Fit-Friendly Companies Recognition is an award given to companies that demonstrate progressive leadership in making the health and wellness of their employees a priority. It is intended to be a catalyst for positive change in the workplace across America.

Quadax was recognized at the Gold level for embracing at least nine criteria in the areas of physical activity, nutrition, and culture, as outlined by the American Heart Association. Like other office workers, most of our staff spend the majority of waking hours at work in sedentary jobs so incorporating physical activity into a daily routine becomes essential to maintaining health. The long-term benefits of healthy eating habits and weight control include a reduction in the risks of many lifestyle-related conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure. The Quadax Wellness Committee provides educational seminars and activities that address these issues and encourages participation by staff of all ages and abilities.

By incorporating wellness into the corporate culture, Quadax shows how much they value the dedicated people who make up our staff. As a Start! Fit-Friendly Company, Quadax joins the ranks of other corporate trailblazers that have the vision to see the positive impact wellness programs have on the lives of employees and the company.
