2010 EDI Services Employee of the Year and
Unsung Hero Award

Author's pictureEvery year, an outstanding EDI employee has been recognized as the EDI Employee of the Year at the annual State of the Department presentation. When the award was established in 2002, EDI was composed of only 25 employees; the department has almost one hundred employees to date.

This year, Chief Operating Officer Tony Petras selected Brian Smith as the 2010 EDI Services Employee of the Year for demonstrating entrepreneurship, dedication, and initiative. Brian was originally hired in 2008 as a CSC Specialist. During the past few years, he has received several promotions which include CSC Dispatcher, Territory Coordinator, and Account Representative. Brian also serves as the Quadax Wellness Committee Chairperson.

“I understand the difficulty in choosing one person to recognize for this honor. We certainly employ a team effort to service our clients, and we are all integral to that process,” Brian said.

Brian was very appreciative of this high honor, “I am honored to consider so many of my coworkers as friends and truly appreciate the availability and shared knowledge that allows us to service our clients. I certainly feel that Quadax EDI is a wonderful family to be a part of, and I am truly thankful to work with such an exceptional group of individuals.”

Seven other employees were also recognized as “Unsung Heroes” during the presentation. The award was established in 2009 to honor other outstanding employees in non-management and management roles. The 2010 Unsung Heroes recognized were  EDI Edits & Documents Group Manager Tom Klemens, EDI Edits & Documents Group Analysts Joni Dragin and Asad Ali Rizvi, EDI Service Manager John McDowell, HARP Quality Assurance Technician Janet Browning, and Xpeditor Implementation Team Account Representatives Shawn Speese and Sarah Kopcso.
