Scheduled Maintenance
Why does Quadax have “Scheduled Maintenance”?
There are many reasons for Scheduled Maintenance. One reason is to upgrade the key components of our network. Some examples include, power, telecommunications, networking equipment, servers, or software.
Another reason for Scheduled Maintenance is Disaster Recovery Testing. Quadax goes through Disaster Recovery Planning on a regular basis. During Disaster Recovery Planning, we perform a critical review of each component of our network and decide if it is due for an upgrade. Many factors are taken into consideration, such as age of equipment, capacity, and redundancy. In conjunction with Disaster Recovery Planning, we perform Disaster Recovery Testing. This is the process of running our plan through an actual test. Only by doing an actual test can you confirm that your Disaster Recovery Plan will work in the case of a real disaster. These tests help fine-tune Disaster Recovery Plans as there are some steps that you cannot anticipate with planning, and only occur during an actual test or recovery. In some situations, we need to bring systems offline during these Disaster Recovery Tests.
When does Quadax perform “Scheduled Maintenance”?
For the most part, we perform our Scheduled Maintenance on Sundays; however, there are occasions where this is not possible. There are times when a process needs to be expedited and has to be performed on a weekday evening. Some Scheduled Maintenance takes a great deal of time and needs to be started on a Friday night or Saturday to be completed before Monday morning. In any case, we will provide you with advanced notice of any Scheduled Maintenance. That way you can adjust your schedule if necessary.
Summary
Our goal is to provide you with highly available, responsive applications, in addition to superior customer service. By performing Scheduled Maintenance, we can continue to improve the Quadax network.
