Exploring Express Scanning

By: Nate Petznick, Project Manager, ECM Services

Author's pictureQuadax ECM Services would like to introduce a new capture solution called Express Scanning. Express Scanning is a Hyland Software application known as “simple, single-button scanning.” It has no menu, no index panel, and no scanner settings. Uploading documents is also made easy with a click of a button!

The goal of Express Scanning is to simplify the task of scanning documents, making it easy for anyone in an organization to understand. Furthermore, there is no need for OnBase™ or scanner functionality to navigate this application. All options, scanner settings, and index values can be designed into selectable buttons in the Express Scanning panel.

Typical Express Scanning Screen

Express Scanning uses an XML configuration file to store all available document, button, and scanner settings. Users will place each document in the scanner and select the appropriate scanning button on the left panel. Express Scanning can be configured to prompt a user to index the document before scanning occurs. In addition, Express Scanning can also be configured to allow electronic import of a document as an alternative to scanning.

Express Scanning’s core features provide a simple intuitive document-level scanning solution. Scanning will never be a tough task again! If you are interested in this exciting capture technology, please contact your Quadax Account Representative to discuss how Express Scanning can work for you.
