2009 Medicare Payment Rates Extended
This week the President passed an amended version of H.R. 4851, the Continuing Extension Act of 2010. This legislation extends the 2009 Medicare physician payment rates through the end of May. The 21.3 percent Medicare physician payment cut will not go into effect until May 31, 2010. Any claims paid that reflected the 21 percent cut will be retroactively adjusted.
