Quadax Norwalk Office Supports Fight Against Breast Cancer
On Saturday, May 22, 2010, a sea of pink descended upon the Norwalk Reservoir for the first annual Pink Up the Pace 5K Walk/Run. The Pink Up the Pace event was a senior project of a student at a local high school. The event was an effort to raise awareness and money for breast cancer research.
Breast cancer struck a cord with Norwalk Quadax, as one of our own battled this disease. To support Jane Meyer from sickness to health, a team of more than twenty co-workers and their family members joined the fight to the finish. Joining Jane Meyer were Gina Garcia, Cindy Mast and Tim Seevers, Cindy Cozart, Joe Zadorozny, Joette and Bob Hudberg, Stacey and Haley Schwartz, Deb Hicks, Margaret Casada, Becky Kimball, Theresa Hoffman, Mattie Slack, Courtney Moore, Jessica Davis, Learose Hale, Jeanne Stieber and Tamara West (pictured below).
As we journeyed through the wilderness, the rains descended upon us to dampen our efforts, but with hearts full of fortitude, we marched on to the finish line. Not only did Jane finish the race, she also finished cancer: Jane was recently declared cancer free! Her co-workers rejoice with her in her victory—for it is indeed by endurance that we conquer!
