Quadax Lends a Helping Hand through Hope Totes

For the past six years, Quadax has collected Hope Totes items for Laura’s Home Women’s Crisis Center, a local shelter for women and children in need run by The City Mission of Cleveland, Ohio. Every year, thousands of men, women, and children spend one or more nights at Laura’s Home or Crossroads (The City Mission’s shelter for men), and this year, Laura’s Home has been at maximum capacity every month. Through the Hope Totes collection, we help provide personal care items to the 100+ residents of Laura’s Home, who have very few of their own possessions or money to buy these essential items. The items we donate are assembled into Hope Totes personal hygiene kits for infants, children, and adults and then distributed to those in need throughout the year. Our collection this year took place the second and third week of February, and Quadax employees really came through again, collecting items that included everything from soap, shampoo, and lotions to toothpaste and toothbrushes. Donations also included underwear, socks, and cosmetic items. Laura’s Home was very appreciative of the donations for their residents. As expressed by their Chief Development Officer: “The faithful generosity of Quadax, Inc., and its employees toward the Mission and Laura’s Home is heartwarming and extraordinary. We serve a population of women and children at Laura’s Home that most of the community rarely thinks about, much less sacrifices to see that their needs are met. And yet, time and time again, Quadax and its employees dig deep into their own pockets to see that the necessities of life are provided to these women and children. It makes a real difference in their lives and a powerful statement of compassion.”
