Quadax’s computer systems, like many other systems, use modified Julian dates (ordinal dates) for recording the date rather than the month and day. Julian dates represent the number of elapsed days since the beginning of the year. For example, the Julian date for January 1 is 1, February 1 is 32, and December 31 is 365, except in leap year when it is 366. The Quadax calendars show the Julian date for each day of the year as well as early cutoff dates for holidays.
Quadax offices are closed and support is not available on holidays. Computer operators do not work on holidays, including the Friday after Thanksgiving. We reserve the right to restrict system access on holidays so that maintenance can be performed. Prior notification will be given.
Quadax observes the following holidays. If the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, it is observed on the nearest weekday (Friday or Monday respectively).
- New Year’s Day (January 1)
- Memorial Day (last Monday in May)
- Independence Day (July 4)
- Labor Day (first Monday in September)
- Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November)
- Day after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve (closed in afternoon)
- Christmas Day (December 25)
